Ratu Motu's hull is single chine mono displacement. The vessel is a twin screw ocean passenger cruising vessel constructed of welded aluminium with a raked stem, full keel, stepped transom stern, raised two deck accommodation with bridge located forward.
The Salon lounge is the main inside hang out area. There are two large wrap around couches that you can take a comfortable break from the heat reading, playing board games or watching movies on the flat screen plasma TV. With large windows on either side of the lounge you can still take in the breathtaking scenery without compromising your view.
The dining and the salon lounge is open plan, creating a large inside area that creates a sense of luxury with the amount of space. You can sit in the dining area for your lunch and dinner meals. There is full wait-staff to tend to your every need while you sit back and relax in the comfortable executive dining chairs.
The sundeck is the perfect place to sit outside whilst on the move. With the wind in your hair and your skin lightly protected by some shade you can sit and take in the views on the way to your next destination. This is the prime outside viewing area on the boat and somewhere you’ll never forget long after your trip has finished.
This area is fully undercover with lounge chairs as well as coffee tables and a standing bar. The observation area is the outside place to be if you want to take a break from the sun and play board games, read a book or watch the surf when you feel you’ve had a bit too much sun but still want to take in all that your destination has to offer. This also can transform into a little raging party area, the crew are always eager to help set up for a themed dress up party!
The large swim platform at the stern of the vessel makes it extremely easy to access the water if you don’t want to jump off the roof every time you want to go for a swim. The platform is flush with the water level so you can get in and out of the tenders and kayaks easily as well as walk directly onto your stand up paddle board or just slip in for a swim.
When you first arrive on the boat we can arrange a safety talk from our captain and staff to point out the do’s and don’ts whilst on board. This can be as detailed as you would like. We are here to help and to educate. At the end of the day we want to run a tight ship and for everyone to feel safe.
We have staff guard the back of the boat throughout the night.
On board Outside Activities
Diving or jumping competitions off the boat. There are 4 levels to choose from to cater to your children’s skill level and safety. This is a great past-time the kids love to be judged on.
Most trips we are blessed with the company of dolphins. The bow of the boat has a great viewing area to watch them ride the front wake
Off board Activities
HIRING A VACATION BABYSITTER
1. Plan ahead:
Start the process as early as possible so you have time to check out a range of agencies or follow up on references for any independent sitter you plan to use.
If it’s convenient, try to meet the sitter even briefly before you leave or talk to them from home via Skype. You can check the sitter out and the kids will have a chance to meet him/her before the trip.
2. Start with people you know:
This is one of those situations where posting a question on Facebook can work wonders. Your work associates, friends of friends, or in-laws which you know have similar needs, wants and values might have sitters they have used or know of someone who does.
These kinds of personal references will go a long way toward putting you at ease as you head out the door for your exciting adventure.
Check out the agency’s website for its standards and processes. Ask for references to make sure the agency delivers on its promises. Are the sitter’s trained in CPR? Do they have a minimum education level? What kind of background check does the agency do?
If you’re planning to try a service like UrbanSitter that has a national presence, you might want to try them out at home first to make sure you’re happy with their process and the person they send over. For example, can you ask for the sitter to have experience with a certain age and will the agency follow through on that request?
A FEW NANNY AGENCY’S
At Great Aupair you can hire a nanny from any country you wish.
Eg. Indonesia, Australia, America, Canada, Russia, England, France, China, Japan and many more.
Eden Nannies and Maternity source and place candidates throughout the world. Wherever you are located, we can assist you in your search for first class childcare or for other household staff through our sister company, Eden Private Staff.
Is an agency located in Bali, Indonesia. Their nannies are well experienced with foreign customers, speak sufficient English, have an impeccable record of customer satisfaction and are in the possession of a first aid for children certificate from Bali International Medical Center. A nanny will care for the children of one customer only and can handle maximum 2 children.
Secure Room Options
The downstairs cabins are a great option for young children. You can share with your child down there or the children can be placed in the far end cabins with the parent in the cabin next door.
Custom Dining Times
Breakfast and lunch are usually in sync with adults and children on the boat. However dinner can be different. If you want to have an earlier seating time for your children this can be arranged. The menu can also be altered to cater for your children.
We’re very proud of the food and beverage offering on-board Ratu Motu and have invested a lot of time and energy to ensure that our meals are both healthy and satisfying. Our Food and Beverage team are on point from dawn ’til late at night delivering everything from traditional feasts to a quick snack.
Fresh fruit such as bananas, watermelon, mandarins, apples or papaya are available for you to help yourself at all times while aboard. As is tea, coffee, fruit juice and bottled water. All you need to do is ask one of the staff.
Breakfast is typically served in the open air of our Observation Deck area from 7.00am to 9.00 am and includes everything from fresh fruit salad, various cereals, bacon and eggs, French toast, banana pancakes and omelettes. There’s always plenty of fresh toast and all the various spreads.
A sit-down affair served after guests return from the morning surf session and activities. Lunch times vary from 11.00am to 2.00pm and are served in the Main Cabin dining area. The lunch menu changes daily and you will generally not eat the same meal twice during your stay. Some of the lunch offerings may include fresh salads and cold meats, sandwich selections, burgers & fries, pastas, Mexican buffets or a traditional lunch of Indonesian “Nasi Champur”.
Evening Bar Snacks
We have built a tradition across the years of serving antipasto plates or a fresh seafood snack around sunset drinks, or when guests return from the day of activities. The type of sashimi varies depending on what fresh fish has been caught that day. Nothing tastes better than a snack and a cold beer after a day on the ocean.
Dinner is the pride & joy of our Staff and is certainly a no-holds-barred affair. Whole grilled fresh reef fish, roasted meats, traditional Indonesian banquets, mud crabs, curries, crumbed or grilled fish, pasta dishes, a variety of fresh salads including green salads, exotic fruits, the list goes on.
Usually a hand-prepared dessert from ice cream to cakes, pies, and traditional desserts.
Wines can be selected from our suppliers list pre-charter and delivered directly to Ratu Motu for your arrival (delivery costs on-charged).
